Here’s one of the tools to help keep you calm and in balance.
Noticing your inhale and exhales can be powerful. But when I’m anxious — and many clients agree — it’s very easily to lose track of the breath.
Square breathing redirects your mind and body away from anxiety using four simple breath segments, each for a count of four. Like this:
1. Inhale . . . 2 – 3 – 4
2. Hold. . . 2 – 3 – 4
3. Exhale. . . 2 – 3 – 4
4. Hold. . . 2 – 3 – 4
This will not only focus your mind away from fear, but also balance your in-breath and release.
