Have you tried melatonin? It’s a neurohormone naturally produced by your pineal gland at night to help you rest and sleep. Here are a few things you might not know about it:

·      Melatonin is naturally found in walnuts, olives, and barley.

·      Short-term use of melatonin is generally considered safe, though it can have side effects such as headaches, dizziness, and grogginess.

·      Supplements may be wildly different than the dosage on the label. The Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine said that melatonin content in 71% of the products ranged from -83% to +478% of the labelled content. And some contained unlabeled serotonin.

Do you use melatonin? Occasionally or on an ongoing basis? Does it work? Any side effects?
